Help us support our students and staff with our Discount Card Fundraiser! Cards are $15 each, can be used EVERY DAY through September 20 of NEXT YEAR, and include discounts and deals at Jersey Mike’s, Applebee’s, Kaz Automotive, Firehouse Subs, Wendy’s, Chili’s, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Outback, Papa John’s, and IHOP! Your family members, friends, neighbors, and co-workers will all want one! (Adults, please accompany your students when selling in your neighborhood.) These cards make great gifts too! Students recently brought home neon green order forms like the one pictured here. Orders are being taken now, and cards will be delivered to students when orders and payments are received. Volunteer shifts for the Fall Consignment Sale open TODAY, September 7th, at 10am on the consignment website! Be sure to sign up early to get your favorite slot! A 2-hour shift(s) earns you entrance to the volunteers-only pre-sale Friday night (October 4) AND 75-80% back on your sold items – money back in your pocket! Shifts include flyer distribution, cashiers, unloading sellers’ inventory, keeping sale areas organized and tidy, and more. The consignment sale is a long-standing tradition at Moncure Elementary benefitting our students and staff, our consignors and volunteers, and the community, and we need a lot of “hands” to make this sale run smoothly and be successful. Every month, we like to show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate them with a special luncheon. This month we are cheering on our teachers to a championship year with a winning lunch on Wednesday, September 11th! Wings! Nachos! Pizza Rolls! More! If you could help out, we’d greatly appreciate it! All donations need to be dropped off to the front office by 10am on September 11th. Please make sure your item(s) are in a disposable container or your name is clearly labeled for pick up from the front office that afternoon (after 2pm).
